Hence, even if you are worried and embarrassed because of your pimple, reassure yourself that the solution is not far away. However, you must understand that herbal cures for acne is not just any concoction of vegetables and herbs. If you do not have adequate information about the curative packs and masks, do not experiment with your acne for this can further damage the skin.

Common natural elements for countering acne

You need a few simple ingredients to prepare home cures for acne. The most common and effective of these is ground chana dal or besan (split chickpea flour). This works in a great way to soak up excess oil from the skin and reduce pimple inflammations. You may also use it as an exfoliating scrub by using semi-ground chana dal. When combined with turmeric and honey, it can be an excellent skin softener.

A certain type of bacteria is responsible for the acne infections that you can eradicate with the natural disinfectant turmeric. Get fresh turmeric roots and ground these to a smooth paste to be applied on the skin and kept for 10 minutes. If you are not allergic to turmeric, you will not face irritation or other allergic eruptions but a nice golden glow.

Just like besan, curd is also a very good exfoliating agent because of its lactic acid content. Its natural cream moisturizes the skin and keeps away dryness that is the most common side effect of anti-acne medications. However, you must stay away from high-fat curd since this may work adversely and increase oiliness. Use only curd made from skimmed milk.

Sandalwood paste is one of the most effective Ayurvedic skin tonics that take care of your acne condition. You should obtain the paste by rubbing the sandalwood on a stone with a little water. You simply need to apply this thick paste on your acne infected zone uniformly and let it dry before washing it off with rose water. You may also avail sandalwood powder from the market.

One of the best cleansers is Multani Mitti or Fuller’s Earth. It not only reduces oil but also tones your skin by closing the pores. You need to make a paste of this with rosewater and sandalwood paste, although this should not be used more often than twice a week. Fuller’s Earth has astringent qualities that may leave a burning sensation on sensitive skin.
